LANDON REECE

VOCALIST & PERFORMER

PERFORMANCE OF
"It's Hard to Speak my Heart"
from Parade by Jason Robert Brown

Landon Reece is a Vocalist and Performer, repertoire exclusive to theater and classical based genres. Originally from Hurricane, West Virginia, a small town in rural America, he currently resides in Boston, Massachusetts, earning a Bachelors Degree in Vocal performance at Berklee College of Music.

"This performance in particular is a meaningful one, as my musical passions began with my High School Show Choir - Hurricane Red Hot. 4 years after my last competition season, I had the privilege to perform for my past colleagues, friends, and instructors. It was a full circle moment for me."

- Landon R.

Background

At an early age, Landon was driven by curiosity. Curiosity to discover, design - to experience. Inspired by the kind words of his 3rd grade teacher, he enrolled in acting classes at the Alban Arts Center, in St. Albans, West Virginia. Performing roles such as Edmund in Narnia, Prince Charming in Cinderella, and Sky Masterson in Guys and Dolls, he found a safe escape on stage for the following 7 years.

During this time, he also found an escape in singing, as it was able to follow him home. It is with legends such as Barbra Streisand, Whitney Houston, and Ben Platt that he was able to convey how he truly experienced his surroundings. Growing from that inspiration, Landon was a valued member of his middle school choir.

Once moving on to high school, his world was captivated by the world of Show Choir. Placing 3rd overall at the National Level and winning more than 25 grand championships across the midwest, the Hurricane Red Hot Show Choir, from little ol' West Virginia, was unstoppable. Landon dedicated himself to the art form, earning 5 Best Male Soloist Awards and 4 consecutive state titles, as well as participating for 2 years at the All-State Choir presentation.

Dreaming of a life beyond, he moved to Boston after being accepted to Berklee College of Music, earning a Bachelors Degree in Vocal Performance. While attending Berklee, he has performed in several contemporary concerts as a background vocalist, live studio sessions, Voice Department Produced Ensembles, and two classical concerts. Landon was an Assistant Stage Manager for Boston Conservatory's main stage production of Into the Woods, among studying with Eric Stern, a 50-year broadway veteran, and friend of the infamous sondheim in Berklee's Sondheim Ensemble, where he explored his life's work.
